Times Vessel ~ Echos of Courage

A novel by Susan Davis

Receiving a package from her deceased mother containing an engraved silver mug, Emma finds a way to get past her extremely frustrating job.  While she dearly loves her job, her boss constantly overlooks her work, never acknowledges her ideas. Whiskey kept tucked under her bed is the answer, and here is a new cup.  But only after reciting the incantation etched on the bottom of the cup does she travel through time via this vessel, allowing her to walk alongside her female relatives.

She leads “passengers” along the underground railroad, assists young girls escape trafficking, offers creative ideas to a woman threatened by creditors, watches strong female relatives take leadership roles to guarantee safety during a terrible storm, and raise cash to ensure a school for neglected girls is fully funded for another year. Their lives lead her to realize her own personal strengths that spring forth from the historical truths found in the six previous generations she now interacts personally with; their initials are on the sides of the cup. She views changes to the cup with each generational change, the aging of the cup, as she acknowledges their deep connections to her present life.
